I can’t say enough good things about Onji and her breeding program. After years of dealing with unethical breeders I met Onji while she was transporting a pup from a different breeder and the care that she gave during transport and the constant communication really made me feel comfortable. During that period I could not only see how much Onji cared about the dogs in her possession but also her ability to communicate with worried owners. I was very impressed with how she handled my puppy’s very long transport and asked if we could stay in touch as she was a wealth of dog knowledge and she happily accepted. Onji renewed my love for the breed after being taken advantage of by unethical breeders. She told us when we were ready for our next dog to give her a list of things that we wanted from our pup and our expectations as it matured. To be honest it was a pretty demanding list and Onji was very straightforward in her response with which breeding pairs would best meet our needs. A couple months later she produced the most amazing pup I could have ever imagined. Way beyond our expectations!! Since then we have gotten two more pups from Onji both outstanding with temperament, confirmation, personality and one being a dual trained Service Dog in medical alert and mobility assistance/visual aid. We were lucky enough to get 2 dogs from Onji and they’re both such wonderful additions to our family. I was so happy to see health testing, purposeful lines in her program, and great communication through the whole process! We got a puppy that we flew out to pick up and an adult dog that was ground transported safely. We love them so much and you can definitely see the top notch temperament in them. I have never seen a dog love kids so much (even kids outside our household). They are so smart, patient, and overall wonderful with everyone.

This is the second adult Shepherd I have gotten from Onji and just like the first one, she was spot on with her description of Ophelia and I am so happy with her. She is overall a very sweet girl and is settling in nicely. I will hopefully be using her as a demo dog in my training classes just like Tam Tam and am so excited to see what we accomplish!

Got my boy from Onji last year and couldn’t be happier! I had been searching for a male for quite some time to match my females energy and temperament. I was blown away with Tam from day one! Onji’s description of him was spot on and he fit right in, going on adventures with me, being a demo dog in the group classes I train, and I even got him started in dock diving. This summer we will be continuing with dock diving and earning his CGC. I am so excited for the years to come and will actually be adding another prospect from one of Onji’s litters due this spring!

He has fantastic temperment and is the smartest puppy!

My puppy Gotham is a beautiful long haired black German shepherd. He is my shadow and my partner everywhere I go including the bathroom. He is energetic, cute, social, and soooo smart. We’ve only had him a couple of weeks and he’s HUGE and already knows sit, lay down, up, down, stay, and “ok get it.” He follows my other German Shepherds every move learning from her. Definitely recommend getting your fluff ball with the goofy ears from Nuckols Canines. She sent me pictures and kept me updated on him before pick up. They are also not a far drive from the metroplex. Check’m out.

We got Zeus a couple of months back and he's been nothing but a bundle of Joy. From the moment I reached out to Onji, the process has been seemless with clear communication and expectations. Even the visitation process was top tier compared to other breeders, ensuring that the pups were safe and the introduction to the parents were safe.
Overall the experience was great. Highly recommended breeder that delivers bang for buck when it comes to quality and temperament.

I had struggled to find the perfect long coated shepherd breeder and I came across Nuckols Canines. Onji was so quick at responding and went over all the personality traits of my baby Roxy. She really went over everything and I felt less stressed about the experience because of her. Onji was so readily available and when I picked Roxy up I knew she would be the sassy but lovable best friend I needed.
